H. andalensis is very similar to H. brevialata, but easy enough to tell apart from the leaves. H. brevialata’s leaves are almost round and very concave – almost looking like little bowls. H. andalensis leaves are longer and almost flat.
Floral Morphology
The flowers are very similar with Hoya brevialata except the andalensis pedicels are longer.
It has recurved fuzzy pale salmon-pink flowers, measuring 3mm across, with a maroon-gold corona. Up to 15 flowers per umbel. Small amounts of nectar. Strong caramel fragrance.
