Hoya pachyclada

Updated: Dec 31, 2020

Hoya pachyclada - (Endemic to Thailand)

This Hoya is a rather unusual Hoya that can be treated more like a succulent. It does not vine and is much slower growing than almost all other Hoyas.

Stems are usually short and densely clothed with very thick succulent-like leaves. Old leaves may be more than a 0.25 inch (6 mm) thick. The green Hoya pachyclada gets gorgeous flowers that are white and glossy, while the variegated Hoya pachyclada gets creamy and glossy. The plant usually forms a perfect ball shape of flowers with 20 to 25 flowers in each cluster after 2 or more flowering.
